Thank you Lord Jesus
tHANK YOU LORD JESUS
Leviticus 22:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
28 And whether it be cow, or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day. 29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it at your own will. 30 On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the Lord. King James Version (KJV)
Understanding Leviticus 22:28-30
In the old testament of the holy bible, animal sacrifices were made to cover the sins of man from before the LORD Jehovah’s eyes. The process was that, if a mother and its little lamb needed to be sacrificed for your life and that of your children, household, it could not be done on the same day.
But Jesus, the slain lame of GOD, born into this world a baby became a full grown man sacrifice to pay for all the sins of every mother and child. Jesus became the replacement of mercy demonstrated. Where GOD said do not slay the mother cow and the baby cow at the same time in the same day, Jesus took the death of man and the sacrifice upon His shoulders that we may be saved.
1 Chronicles 16:7-9 King James Version (KJV)
7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. 8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Understanding 1 Chronicles 16:7-9,
Here King David is taking the opportunity to
Thank GOD unashamed in front of his kingdom.
David is leading by example of how those in authority should lead in their faith in Christ Jesus. David thanked GOD, Jehovah for the things GOD had done to bless his life and that of his family and kingdom.
David wanted those he ruled to worship in one accord and to pray over their homes and family teaching their spouse and children to worship GOD with their whole hearts in Spirit and in Truth (trusting the father and believing a savior is coming as the LORD promised of His Son).
The choices made daily effects the genuineness of your worship of thanks giving unto the LORD. Give GOD some eye to eye contact. You do this by reading His Word, the Holy Bible and reciting His Word back to Him in prayer and the utterances of thanks for all that GOD has done for you, family, job, business, friends, etc. Prayer is speaking to GOD with the understanding you know who He is and what He can do. It’s speaking respectfully and lovingly to the LORD GOD Almighty Jehovah in the name of Jesus. When you come before the Father in prayer, do it like this, ‘Father GOD, I come before you in the name of Jesus…’ Matthew 6:9-15 is a good example of how to approach GOD in prayer. David is demonstrating reverence, worship, not asking for anything but appreciating what GOD has already done.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 King James Version
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Understanding 1 Thessalonians 5:18 King James Version
This scripture is self explanatory. But, if you are wondering about the limits of this scripture then don’t. Just do it. You run into trouble when you try to set boundary lines around GOD, His desires for you and vision for you. GOD’s plans are always greater. Remember GOD had to teach King David how to accept humility. King David tested the boundaries when he lusted after another man’s wife. King David got the man’s wife pregnant. King David killed the man by having those he trusted to betray and give him over to the enemy they all were fighting.
GOD took the child because it was a fruit of a very corrupt act. Taking the baby showed King David he was not greater than the LORD and he does not set the boundaries of faith, the LORD did already. The boundary lines of GOD, is His WORD, obey, live and prosper.
